how easy is it to learn online guitar lessons?

I am 13 and i am seeking to learn the guitar. I have seen many online tutorials to learn how to play the guitar. I do not yet have a guitar to learn with, but i think lessons with an instructor are sort’ve expensive where i live, and i don’t want to go wasting my money if the plan i have to learn is too difficult. Are there any special books that are excellent and perhaps easy to learn guitar? Or, does anyone have any good websites that teaches lessons or tutorials for the guitar?

It wasn’t until probably the last six months or so that I’ve been able to play the guitar. I’ve always been very interested since a young age considering my dad and his brothers pretty much grew up on the guitar and drums. It’s always been in the family and when I would watch them play they always made it look so easy.. it seemed like almost a natural thing for them. I tried for years to learn how to play… tried to have my father help me, looked to books to teach me, spent hours on youtube watching people try to explain.. etc. Nothing ever really worked. I eventually gave up for a few years then just within the past year or so I became interested in it again when I would see all these girls just going crazy over musicians at shows/concerts… lol. So I started looking online and came across this website .. http://www.guitar.pcti-system.com … which is an online program with videos and the works that teaches everything you need to know to learn how to play.

It’s probably the best tutorial/instructional course I’ve ever seen… I learned how to play the guitar very quickly and now it seems like I can almost play songs by ear.. something my uncle can do. I’m actually planning on tryin to start up a band with a few friends of mine after I get myself a newer more expensive better quality guitar. But I definitely would have never learned it if it wasn’t for that course.

15 year old starting to play guitar?

I’m 15 years old and I want to learn how to play the guitar, and I’m planning on taking lessons. Is it too late to start learning? What are the basics of learning guitar? What kind of guitar do I buy when starting? I’ve played piano for the last 5 years but I quit because I’ve lost interest and I didn’t practice. However, I been listening to alot of guitar pieces and I’m really interested. Is guitar, like piano for me, one of those instruments that gets boring after a while?

Playing the guitar is a great activity. You can jam with your friends or with a band and create awesome pieces of music or you can cover your favorite tunes. But before that happens, you need to find good guitar lessons for beginner players.

When trying to decide what type of lessons are the best, think of what you are trying to accomplish first. Think what is it that makes your heart sing and then go from there.

For example, perhaps you want to be a great rhythm player like Bucky Pizzarelli. Or maybe you want to be a lead player and be the front man of a band like Joe Satriani.

Think of the skill that you want to develop and then find a good lesson, either online or with a teacher. Develop that skill and then improve on something else.

With enough practice, you can play great music with anyone that you chose and in any style that you like. By mastering the fundamentals, you can apply those to any style you like. Be it Jazz or Rock or Folk music. The principles are the same on any style.

When trying to decide what is a good Guitar Lessons for beginner dont overlook what you can find online. There are free lessons, but those are not very good. Like they say, You get what you pay for.

Online lessons are a great way to start because you can advance at your own pace without having to leave your house. Plus, any online course will be cheaper than going to a school.

Remember, there are many ways to learn how to play the guitar, just be disciplined and practice and enjoy making music with your instrument.

When I was young, some of my friends knew how to play the guitar really good and I alwawys wanted to learn. I always wanted to play the guittar, the piano and violin, but first of all the guitar. Is it possible to learn How To Play Guitar without having ever held one. If so, how and is there a website to go to or what.

100% No.

You can learn alot about guitar. But until you have to overcome the physical hurdles of the instrument you won’t be able to do much of anything.

acoustic Guitar?

I want to learn how to play the guitar. but im not sure im gonna like it after i get it. so is there a decent Acoustic Guitar that dosnt cost too much

You don’t exactly sound thrilled, I think what you should do is go to a place like the guitar center, when you go in there you’ll see all kinds of people sitting around playing, some play well others are just feeling out guitars and some are just learning and trying to find a guitar that suits them. They even have little rooms where you can have privacy if you want. Go there a couple of times and see if it’s for you, you should be able to tell if your going to find this your thing, I’m assuming your a girl, I’ve taught girls to play guitar, most of them do not continue, they don’t want to cut their nails, and they find it hurts their fingers and hand, their not willing to give it time, the finger and hand pain goes away with time, but most of them do not have it in them to play music, so I tell them not to waste their parents money. If it’s in you to play you’ll know it, because no matter what you have to put up with to play you’ll do it, because playing is the most important thing, not having long nails. So go to one of these places and play around a couple of times and see if you think it’s for you.

What is a good acoustic guitar for beginners?

I want to learn how to play the guitar and am looking into buying one. Any suggestions on a decent, but lower priced (for a college student’s budget) acoustic? I don’t need anything fancy, just something nice to start off with.

I suggest just going to a music/guitar store and get a feel for the guitars, hold them, sit down with it and see which feels the most comfortable and if it makes the sound you are looking for. If you are looking to become serious, dont be afraid to spend a little more on a better quality, because you’ll be kicking yourself in the butt thinking "If I had just spent a little more money, I could have gotten something so much better"

personally an accoustic i learnt to play guitar in my local park i didnt annoy anyone and could play anywhere yu cant play an electric one when there is a power cut xx
