How can I start to understand guitar without lessons?
I have lots of things after school, and I had to pause my Guitar Lessons until summer. I’ve only taken, like, five. The most I know is the pentatonic scale, blues scale, dominant chords, major/minor chords, and bar chords. How can I get better when I don’t have someone to teach me?
Well, at least you are getting somewhere. YOu can always go to this site and learn at your own leisure.

That’s kind of a tricky question. You don’t necessarily need a teacher, but you do need time. You indicate your problem is that you have a lot of things going on, which means you don’t have time, or rather, have other things that are more important to you going on. It might help to have something flexible to work with. You could join a guitar video lessons site like iJamplay.com, because you have access to the lessons 24/7, can learn at your own pace, and have things nicely structured for you to progress through. You could also just use google/youtube to search for stuff to learn. Or you could buy a guitar method book at a bookstore.
