Starting at the end, the chord you describe looks like F#m
Use your first finger as a barre across the 2nd fret, then your 3rd and 4th fingers on the 4th and 5th strings (or 2nd and 3rd fingers.) Will take practice, but can be done.
Having got the chord shapes, you now have to change from one to another instantly. Do you know which chords go together, like G C D are the key of G. Ehen you're playing a song you know, are you working out strum patterns with your right hand, or playing in arpeggios, where you sound the individual strings quickly one after the other?

Hope this helps but get back to me if you need more
References :
Guitarist for over 45 years, teacher for over 25.

How should I start learning how to play acoustic guitar?
I'm 16 and I've been really interested in learning to play guitar lately. I've been learning chords for a few songs lately, but I dont feel like I'm "learning guitar" yet. I just feel like I'm sticking my fingers where the chord sheet tells me to. Where should I start in learning to play guitar? And also does anyone know any excercises for reaching chords like: 244222 (EADGBe)? Because I cannot get all my fingers on those :P
